LISTED

THE HOUSE IS LISTED....

SEPTEMBER 2013 ~ The house is finally listed with a reputable agent.

So we have learned our lesson. The End of July we listed our home with a newer, online based real estate listing company. We had the house on the market for 30 days with them. During that 30 days, we did not have a single showing of the house.  Our agent did not have an agents open and we had no explanation as to what was going on.  Everyone was telling us that as far as internet activity our house was the most popular in the area and we were told we were priced right. There was no explanation as to what was going on.  We kept asking our agent what was happening and her only explanation was that we needed to lower the price.
So, we did a little research.... and surprise, the listing agency did not have a very good reputation.  So we called another agent.  The other agent said we should absolutely not lower the price.  We cancelled the listing with our original listing agent put it back on the market with the new agent and we have had a large number of showings. It goes to show what a good agent can do for you when you are listing your house.
We are now on our way to living our dream.  I know the right buyer is on the way and looking for our house right now.  They just need to find it.

TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE

TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE

July 2013 ~ We have decided that it's time to make a change.  It's time for us to start a brand new life together, a time for new beginnings.  Now that we have found each other, its time for us to start living our dreams together.  I will go into our dreams later, but first there are things that need to be done.  Our first move was to put John's house on the market.  We contacted an agent and decided that yes, it is time to list the house.  However, of course there are projects that need to be completed.  Within a couple weeks time, we turned the house upside down and put it back together.  Let me just say..... if a relationship can survive through that, it can survive through anything!  Actually I do believe we came out stronger because of it.  John was my strength when I needed it and I was his strength when he had worked himself so hard he literally dropped from exhaustion.  Without each other, we never would have been able to accomplish what we did.  I believe it was pure love and a strong belief in each other that pushed us through these two weeks of chaos.  You will see what I mean by the pictures below.

Work time.....

The end result....

AN ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY

Boo Boo (06/21/13)

Carrie and Boo Boo (06/14/13)

John and Boo Boo (06/14/13)

June 14, 2013 -We added a new member to our family.  Boo Boo is a hound we adopted from Waif animal shelter.  We are not sure what breed of hound he is, but all signs point to Plott hound. The vet says he is about 8 months old and they told us he was a stray.  He is the most loving dog I have ever met. Boo Boo loves to cuddle and he LOVES to run.  He gives all the other dogs at the dog-park a run for their money.  He is very social and everyone loves him.  Boo Boo has fit right into our lives.  He has learned to go on the stand up paddle board with John....

And of course John has big plans of Boo Boo learning to skate board and surf.  But best of all, Boo Boo just loves to spend cuddle time with his Mom....

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE

(Photo Taken 03-09-13)
This is the love of my life.  I waited 45 years to meet him. After seven days we knew it was true love and after just a short time together we knew this was going to be forever.  We both feel we are soul mates and there is no other person in this world that has ever made me as happy or that I feel understands me or that I understand as well.  John is my everything.  We have begun this journey together of building a wonderful life together and experiencing all life has to offer.  This is my story of our life and our New Beginnings.
